Jan 28th 2010 Cruises, are they still standing up to your average holiday?
So now this time is approaching us and we need to make a decision on our holidays for the next year. Christmas is here, and so holiday bookings fall to an all time low, then January slaps us in the face and those bookings go mad. So here are two holidays that are squaring up to each other, which one is going to come out on top next year.
The Cruise ship holiday has done very well, and the ships themselves just seem to be getting bigger and bigger to accommodate more people. Cruise ships have been that little niche market, however now they are coming out of their shell a bit. The Cruise ship was a massive phenomenon but it was very expensive, and the price hasn’t changed much. However now things are slightly different and now people from all walks of life have this opportunity. Cruises can take massive numbers aboard there ships, even in the thousands, but because of their sheer size they can quite comfortably cope with this. Cruise Ships have a massive amount of entertainment on board, there are even some with an artificial wave generator on the top of them for surfers.
Island holidays are very popular, the same as beach holidays, these are the more common holiday, where you relax in one spot, no travelling involved. One perfectly easy location to use as an example is the Caribbean, so let’s start here. There are so many beach holiday locations in the Caribbean, almost every island has a glorious beach on it. One main advantage with these holidays is normally the price, they are still expensive, but generally not quite as expensive as that which a Cruise holiday costs. However you only get to experience one location, and is that going to be enough for you?
So what are you going to plan for your holiday next year, Caribbean holidays also come in that crucial cruise mix as well, where as St Lucia holidays and Barbados holidays are great, especially for those that just want to sun!
